Integrity Engineering Services (IES) provides a wide variety of integrity engineering support to US Natural Gas Operations and Project teams.  IES is the principal point of contact for Field Operations and Projects personnel when operational issues and integrity concerns arise. IES is also responsible for supporting integrity digs, emergency response, pipeline crossings and encroachment, and other operational issues. This team makes pipeline repair decisions when we conduct investigative pipeline integrity excavations. 
 
This role is based in Washington, PA. 

 

Tasks could be: 

  • Complete load calculations for equipment crossing requests.  

  • Travel to dig sites for hands-on training of assessment methods and data collection; 

  • Review and validate integrity field reports and data collection during integrity digs. 

  • Perform pipeline defect assessment calculations under supervision of senior engineers. 

  • Work with senior engineer on appropriate repair methods for pipeline defects. 

  • Provide engineering review of gas handling plans. 

  • Review and interpret pipeline alignment and mechanical drawings. 

  • As permissible, complete field visits to observe pipeline excavations for integrity digs. 

  • Other tasks as required. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering program or equivalent program, with at least four semesters of education complete and one semester remaining following your work term 

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Capable of working autonomously and apply sound engineering judgement with guidance from senior engineers. 

  • Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities 

  • Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail 

  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment 

  • Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively across organizational boundaries to accomplish goals 

  • Proficient with a PC including the Microsoft Applications 

  • Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development 

  • Must exhibit the TC Energy Corporate Values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: Safety, Responsibility, Integrity, and Collaboration. 

  • Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting 

  • Legally entitled to work in the U.S. permanently without requiring sponsorship
