Responsibilities

 

  • Submits Supplier Qualification Requests
  • Creates a qualification package that fits the needs of the qualification request.
  • Determines which specific qualifications are needed to use the supplier for the requested service/material. (Safety / Quality / Technical / Financial).
  • Review, assess, and evaluate technical quality of suppliers and vendors.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to effectively manage safety program gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage client expectations and work volumes to ensure service consistency;
  • Complete safety program reviews in a timely manner and in adherence with department process requirements and requirements set by the corporate safety team;
  • Facilitate the qualification of new and existing suppliers; utilizing existing department     procedures;
  • Identify and support process development, improvement and enhancement to meet current and future business needs;
  • Other tasks and special projects as required.
  • Monitors supplier quality performance
  • Conduct supplier audits and implement improvement plans
  • Track the cost of poor quality per supplier
  • Works with supplier personnel and Business Unit to make sure root causes are determined and corrective action is taken
  • Rank and prioritizes suppliers for development
  • Lead Supplier Management Tool (SMT), Nonconformance request, compliance and updates with External Suppliers and internally at TC Energía Sites.
  • Customer Assistance with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide supplier improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications and Education

 

  • Demonstrated strong customer service focus;
  • Good organizational and planning skills and detail oriented;
  • Bilingual Spanish and English is required with excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage change with competing client needs and workloads
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build strong and effective working relationships at all levels, both internal and external to the organization, including senior management;
  • Detailed knowledge or background in supply chain process;
  • Ability to travel on short notice and work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, to meet clients' needs.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry;
  • Desirable Completion of Occupational Health & Safety Certification and a minimum of 2-5 years; solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Experience with process development and implementation
  • Able to work with diverse, geographically dispersed client group;
  • A designation or enrollment in a Supply Chain Management program is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Bachelor´s degree in Engineering.
  • Six Sigma GB or BB Certified.
  • Familiar with Sourcing and Quality Practices
  • Experience Quality Management Systems and auditing experience
