The Opportunity

Our Corporate Security department is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business and we are expanding our presence in Mexico to support to our Organization.
We are looking for our Security Control Centre Operator who has knowledge and experience in monitoring and travel security assistance to ensure the effective monitoring and follow up of air and ground travel through the Personnel Safety and Security Verification Check In and Check Out Procedure Mexico for TC Energy employees and in-house contractors traveling to and within Mexico, with the objective of providing security assistance if necessary and ensuring all employees arrive to their destination without incident.



•    Be the principal point of contact for all employees travelling to and within Mexico for security and emergency matters.
•    Ensure that all travel to Mexico has been authorized and that all corresponding documentation has been submitted and approved.
•    Provide security assistance to all TC Energy employeestraveling to and within Mexico.
•    Distribute updated travel guidelines for Mexico and areas of TC Energía operations and Projects.
•    Compile in a single database the security incidents reports and relevant news of security gaps that occur in the city and its surroundings. 
•    Oversee all Operations and Projects related travel management; this includes the monitoring of employees and visitors throughout Mexico, ensuring compliance with corporate security requirements.
•    Maintain strong communications with TC Energía Security control Centre Lead, Travel Security Specialist and Security Advisors.
•    Provide support to the Travel Security Specialist during her vacation period or days off.  
•    Translate documents English-Spanish – Spanish-English 
•    Identify and plot the security incidents events at the georeferenced platform.
•    Tracking and monitoring through the GPS platform all TC Energy employees and in-house contractors traveling to and within Mexico. 
•    Responding to Panic button alerts.
•    Conduct security briefings for business visitors when travel security specialist is not available 
•    Coordinate and be the principal liaison with the federal highway authorities for incidents or when deemed appropriate.   
•    Coordinate requested ground transportation services, with internal drivers and external providers when the travel security specialist is not available.
•    Participate when necessary in the exercises or real events of the Emergency Operation Center (COE) and emergency responses as appropriate.
•    Maintain a documented daily register of all journeys and passengers via Check in / Check out database. 
•    Provide weekly and bi-weekly security reports; the use of the JMP and traffic security violations to the leader’s team. 
•    Monitoring CCTV cameras to respond security incidents. 
•    Review CCTV recordings for suspects to assist in investigations.
•    Manage TC Energía employees and internal contractors’ requests for external transportation in CDMX through provider platform. 
•    Register all UBER requested trips in the database. Request all the corresponding invoices to UBER support and share the information with the TC Accounting area. 
•    Creation and sending of security alerts through the Everbridge platform. 
•    Support users when vehicle failures referring to GPS is reported, coordinate support between provider and user.
•    Monitoring Access Control:  Support internal users attending to access control requests such as: creation of new access cards, deactivation of access cards.

Shifts schedule 
•    6 operators, 12-hour shift and an 8-hour shift.
•    6-week rotation (42-day cycle). 11-day shift days, 7-night shifts and 3 office shift (8 hour)
•    Days worked per cycle: 21
•    Rest days per cycle: 21
•    Forty-eight hours (48) of labor in any period of 4 consecutive days (12-hour shift)
•    When attaining forty-eight (48) hours of work, at least thirty-six (36) hours of consecutive rest must be taken

Minimum Qualification

•    Graduate or in titling process.
•    2 years’ experience in security travel management.
•    Effective communication
•    Prioritizing and organization skills
•    Influencing and develop internal network
•    Critical Thinking
•    Solve problems
•    Trustworthy with an ability to maintain the confidentiality of all travel activities.

Preferred Qualification

•    1 years’ experience in administration 
•    Experience in physical and patrimonial security
