The opportunity

The Scheduler/Trade Analyst, Liquids Marketing role will support the operational and front office functions administered by the liquids marketing business. Within this department, the operational functions will include scheduling support and backup coverage for that desk.  Sharing responsibilities with other schedulers to ensure 24/7 coverage and support is available; including weekends and holidays as needed. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring that information and data is provided back and forth between Front office and mid/back office support groups.

What you’ll do


  • Support Scheduling desks; providing backup and coverage
  • Interaction with scheduling counterparties
  • Ensure operational contractual arrangements are met
  • Ad-hoc trade analysis and gathering economic data requirements for trade decisions
  • Support and provide material for presentations
  • Look backs and strategy analysis on trading decisions
  • Support the budgeting process
  • Front office support for current ETRM (trade system) and future ETRM enhancements
  • Act as a liaison between front office to service groups (Analytics, Credit, Risk, Accounting, Compliance)


Minimum Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, economics, finance, math, or related area
  • 10+ years relevant business experience working in a marketing/trading business with relevant mid/back office experience is required
  • Understanding of North American crude oil terminals, pipelines and other transportation infrastructure
  • Proven proficiency with analytical tools, particularly Excel spreadsheets


Preferred Qualifications


  • Demonstrated experience with ETRM systems
  • Oil pipeline scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of tariffs, transport and terminal contracts and regulatory obligations
