The opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Rocky Mountain Region, the Manager of Fleet Regional Services plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, integrity and reliability of TC Energy’s major rotating equipment across Canada. You and your team of technical specialists are accountable for the cost competitive and effective planning and execution of an extensive, Canada-wide Lifecycle Management program, as well as supporting field staff in troubleshooting and resolution of equipment issues. You will collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to understand changing business drivers; support development and execution of strategies to effectively position Canada Gas’ fleet both now and into the future. You will strengthen existing relationships and develop new ones with a wide range of external vendors.


This position requires travel within North America and internationally for business, training, conferences, etc. As such the successful candidate must be able to provide and maintain applicable documentation to this affect. Overnight business travel approximately 3 to 5 days per month.

What you’ll do

  • Lead a dynamic team of equipment specialists and repair technicians
  • Foster a culture of innovation; provide strategic direction and prioritization guidance to the team
  • Oversee development and execution of a multi-year repair and overhaul plan with quality, integrity and cost competitiveness
  • Ensure competency and capabilities of field troubleshooting support
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with business partners to drive key initiatives, identify and implement process and service improvements
  • Collaboratively develop and implement strategies to meet critical business goals such as reliability, sustainability and cost competitiveness
  • Be a champion for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with other business units to share best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years’ related experience
  • Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma (an alternate combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Strong people development and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Proven strategic and systematic thinking and communication skills
  • Must have a Valid Drivers License and be able to provide a Drivers Abstract for review
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a Valid Passport and be eligible to travel Internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical experience specific to large rotating equipment
  • Leadership experience with large, diverse teams; experience building strong, high performing teams
  • Ability to embrace and lead change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of successfully collaborating with numerous internal stakeholders to achieve results
